Microsoft is set to unveil autonomous AI agents in November, designed to be «software for an AI-driven world.» These agents will differ from chatbots by requiring minimal human intervention.

The company is positioning these agents as tools capable of automating routine tasks such as responding to customer queries, identifying potential buyers, and managing inventory.

Microsoft is leveraging both its own AI models and those from OpenAI to power these agents. Users will have the ability to create their own agents within the Copilot Studio.

When access begins, there will be 10 ready-to-use agents available, each tailored to address various business challenges.
